Calculation works as follows:
Starting point is the full fuel tank with route distance counter set to zero. After X kilometres it's needed to fuel up again to full with Y litres. That provides accurate information about how many kilometres it takes up to burn Y litres of fuel and thus enables to calculate the consumption.
